Dumpster Rental in Bennett, CO
Dumpster Rental in Bennett
Bennett began as Kiowa Crossing, or Bennett Station, on the Kansas Pacific line, with a post office from 1877, and its original town center still sits along Colfax Avenue (SH 36) and the railroad. Today it is the fastest-growing place we serve: 2,862 people in the 2020 Census and about 4,200 by 2025, up 48 percent, with half the town’s homes built since 2000.
So the work is mostly move-ins, landscaping and garage clean-outs in the new subdivisions, remodels on the older homes near Colfax, and barn and outbuilding clean-ups on the dry-land farm acreage around town. Bennett is about 22 miles east of our yard on I-70, usually a next-morning delivery, sometimes same-day if you call early. One rule to know: the Town’s code bans dumpsters and roll-offs in its streets.

Bennett’s code names dumpsters outright. Town Code § 11-1-30 says: “No encroachments or obstructions whatsoever, including dumpsters and roll-offs, other than those provided by law, authorized by the Board of Trustees or by ordinance of the Town, shall be made or placed upon any street, alley, sidewalk, curbwalk or other public place within the Town.” We have found no Town permit process for a container in the street, so in Bennett it goes on your driveway or lot, and anything else is a question for Town Hall (207 Muegge Way, 303-644-3249) before delivery, not after. The Town publishes no rule for a temporary roll-off on private property; if you are in a homeowners association, check its rules on driveway containers. Household trash in Bennett is by private subscription, and the Town’s 2025 fee schedule lists demolition permits at $250 for a primary structure and $50 for an accessory structure, through the Building Department at Town Hall.
Bennett dumpster rental questions
- Is a permit needed for a dumpster in Bennett?Bennett Town Code § 11-1-30 bans dumpsters and roll-offs in streets, alleys and sidewalks unless authorized by law, the Board of Trustees or ordinance, and we have found no Town permit for it. So the container goes on your driveway or lot; questions go to Town Hall (303-644-3249).
- How far ahead should I book in Bennett?A day ahead. Bennett is about 22 miles east of our yard on I-70, so it is usually a next-morning delivery, sometimes same-day if you call early.
- Can the roll-off sit on the street in front of my new house? No. Bennett’s code bans dumpsters and roll-offs in streets, alleys and sidewalks unless the law, the Board of Trustees or an ordinance allows it. It goes on your driveway; on a new build, show us where the drive is poured and firm.
- Does the Town pick up bulky trash or remodel debris? Not on a regular basis: household trash in Bennett is by private subscription, and the Town’s seasonal clean-up days publish nothing about construction debris. For a remodel or a move, a 10 to 20-yard on the driveway is the usual answer.
